So what makes an Everyday Hero ?
Recently I was asked to be on Everyday Heroes with Bernie Shakeshaft.
At first I really struggled and thought “I am no hero” compared to what Bernie is doing ( watch Backtrack boys)
But then I had a moment and thought that there are some many different ways to be a hero and perhaps my story might shine light on a few issues close to me heart- Ones about kindness, courage and being enough.
So listen as I have a chat with Bernie about :
Growing up around the world and the challenges that come from going to attending 10 different schools.
What my mum , as a single mum, taught me.
How my drive and ambition has changed since being kids.
Why stepping out of my comfort zone helped start a legal case
Why we all need one person to believe in us and it doesn’t have to be a family member.
Courage and Kindness are my two values and ways I continue to action them
The importance of Body positivity and how shopping in Melbourne reminded- We are all enough
How I have dealt with Trolls and what I stopped doing for one week
Why success, to me, is about having time.
How this David and Goliath case started and why standing up for small business matters.
A big thank you to Bernie, the team at backtrack ( https://backtrack.org.au/who-we-are/)
