Merino wool comes from merino sheep and is know for being super soft and fine.its naturally long and makes a strong fibre. It can be bent 20,000 before breaking.
Sustainability, Ethical Responsibility and Environmental Awareness
Since the early 1800’s, Australian and New Zealand farmers have been developing and producing the finest Merino wool to be found and today, account for approximately 90% of global apparel wool supply.
Our Merino recognises and actively encourage sustainable farming practices including environmentally aware processing, “landcare” revegetation projects and the creation of nature corridors.
Our Merino wool is sourced from either certified non-mulesed or ceased-mulesed farms in Australia and New Zealand. Our Merino commits that all farms must comply with regulations governed by the RSPCA and the New Zealand Animal Welfare Act.
Merino wool use the latest in water saving technology. Our dye-house’s low liquor dyeing machines use 40% less water than conventional dyeing processes. An onsite water treatment facility ensures water is recycled for cooling and cleaning.
